Now it was not just a random challenge “Andrex Washlets surveyed 2,000 British adults to analyse their conversation and found that nearly half of Brits (47%) shy away from having conversations about difficult subjects – more of us shy away from talking about bathroom habits than mental health and sex! “…. having a potty training toddler in the house means we do both normally discuss outgoing wastage in some very graphic details (although in fairness that is probably more the toddler than us)
“The survey also found that women are generally much better at broaching difficult or embarrassing topics” Which I whole heartedly agree with I think generally I do tend to be the talker/sorter and Ollie (hubby) tend to just let me get on with it, however I am not sure if this is just because I am a control freak!
OK so on with the challenge … the challenge was male blogger against female blogger, both of us were given a list of words that we needed to describe to the opposing side. Now nothing is ever that easy so we were also given a list of words which we were not allowed to use too… See not at easy as I first thought!
So how did Sean and I do …
One thing is for sure it’s a whole lot harder than I thought it would be ..
How did we do? … well with a 2 nil victory I have to say the figures say I won. However not being the swiftest on the uptake, could it be there was nothing wrong with how Sean explained his words and in fact the problem is I didn’t listen? … now that’s been said before!
So what would you say is right in your household .. can you discuss openly even if it’s the most intimate thing being discussed ..
All I can say is … I am looking forward to seeing how the others went on and seeing the overall results later this week via Tots100 …
