Last week I shared with you how excited I was to start my weight loss journey using the new XLS Nutrition Weight Loss Shakes and a week on I am feeling more motivated than ever.
I expected by the end of the first week to be waining on the excitement levels but I am more than excited than ever.
For the first couple of days I had some slight hunger pangs until day 3, however if I am honest this will have been down to my over excessive portion sizes and my tummy getting used to normal healthy portion sizes.
Half way through the week drinking one of the sakes for breakfast and one of tea I woke up feeling healthier and more positive than ever before and suffering already with low levels of B12 and vitamin D which have affected my tiredness levels I have been thrilled to feel like I have had more energy than normal.
This week I have been having my shakes at breakfast and teatime and have been taking the time to have my main meal at lunch time giving me time to prepare it and eat it without smelling what Ollie is making for the kids tea. I think doing this has helped keep me on track and with the help of the MyFitnessPal app I have been counting my calories and trying to make sense of what the nutritional value of it is so I can make better food choices and to make me accountable to what I am eating and drinking.
I am a massive carb gorger normally and ‘cobs’ are my downfall so I have tried to find better carb choices but I do miss a big fat cob!
On the exercise front I ditched the gym and instead started tennis lessons and have loved my first lesson. I played as a teen but not really since so it was a body shock but you can check out my post all about it HERE.
Overall this week I have to say I have been utterly blown away with a 9lb loss.
Yep that’s right I lost a whacking 9lbs!
Thrilled is an understatement right now and I can’t wait to get going on week 2.
By the way, if you are embarking on this journey I can highly recommend buying a cheap blender and then adding in ice to the shakes!
