After a fantastic success in my first week the pressure really was on.
Week 2 on the XLS Medical’s Nutrition Weight Loss Shakes got off to a shakey start (no pun intended) My weigh day is a Thursday and after the epic 9lbs loss last week I then headed off to a blogger retreat for 3 days to reconnect with my creativity. Obviously being away and it being a catered for event meant that sticking to drinking 2 shakes per day replacing my breakfast and tea was impossible.
What I did do however was be mindful of what I was eating and even with a slice of cake *cough cough* or two I was ready to get back on it and start Monday on a good footing.
Normally I would fall off the ‘dieting’ waggon and instead of thinking oh dear and starting again the next day I would let it scupper me for weeks or even months. So, I think this new mind-set comes with a realisation that one bad day doesn’t have to make it a bad week or month as tomorrow really is another day.
Monday morning, I was back at my weekly tennis lesson and loved every second, along with starting again on MyFitnessPal and planning my meal I ate and drank well and it was the start of a good week. However, after losing 9lbs the week before I did weigh in on the Sunday night and I had gained 1.5lbs so I was starting off on the back foot but was positive I could turn it around.
Having missed ‘cobs’ last week I found a new love of wraps and have had them numerous times this week and they have really kept me on track without allowing me to over indulge.
Starting Weight: 16st 13lbs
Week 1: 16st 4lbs
Week 2: 16st 2.2lbs
Total loss: 10.8lbs
This week I have also started mixing up my shakes as although there are 3 flavours, having 2 a day can become a little bit boring so I have been adding in fruit and even coffee into mine but have made sure I added it to MyFitnessPal!
So, for 2 weeks in I am still just as motivated as week 1 and am looking forward to week 3.
