I am 6 weeks into my weight loss journey with XLS Medical’s nutritional weight loss shakes and I have a confession … This week I have failed.
The lore of ice-cream, Chinese takeaway and crisps lured me away.
The week was super hard with a family wedding at the weekend and staying over in a hotel for a few nights so I decided not to give myself a hard time over eating but enjoyed every last mouthful and had a slight epiphany.
Throughout the years I have lived with my bad eating habits using how busy I was as an excuse, how hectic the kids timetables have been, a birthday, because its Friday or even because I am tired when truth be told I am actually a lazy meal maker.
I have also started to understand that falling off the healthy eating waggon in the past has meant I have just given up and now I realise a bad day or bad week doesn’t have to mean total failure.
This week after returning home from the wedding I have got back on it and am back on shakes and calorie counting again so I am hoping that will show in my next weigh in.
This week I had expected a major gain but it was another maintain so my 6 week total loss to date is 1 stone 4.2 lbs but I am blown away with my other measurements.I have noticed massive changes in my body shape and so I have been measuring up my waist, hips and chest and in 6 weeks I have lost 5 whole inches on my waist, 2.5 inches from my hips and 1 inch from my chest. So thats 8.5 inches in total lost .. And at the start of the journey I was wearing clothing in a size 22 -24 now I am wearing a size 18-20.
I am feeling emotionally empowered with my current progress, not just the weight loss but about me starting to understand what makes me eat and how I can make changes.
