Blog Camp – Birmingham 2014

Blog Camp - Birmingham 2014 The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseAs the day grew nearer the excitement grew..

For me days without a child in tow and the opportunity to meet friends that I only ever really converse with over the internet are few and far between.

So as the day arrived I set off before anyone else in the house stirred, I jumped on a bus and headed to Nottingham train station to meet the lovely Ellie from The Mummy Diary and we set off for Birmingham with excitement and giggles for the Tots100 Blog Camp.

When we got there we met up with a whole host of my cyber friends old and new, we laughed, learned, laughed some more and made some memories. It was great to catch up with Afra from Mad Mum Of 7, who I met for the first time last year when Vicky and I found her in a coffee shop before Britmums Live.

Talking of Vicky who blogs at Verily Victoria Vocalises, we became friends as total newbies and have continued to be friends ever since! we only normally get to meet up at Britmums Live which made this event all the more special. I

It was also amazing to meet up with Jo from Outnumbered Mum who I have only ever spoken too and never met in person, until blog camp…. only bloggers can be friends with folk they have never clapped eyes on!

I attended some amazing workshops with some truly inspirational bloggers and besides me being anxious on the journey it soon melted away.

It was great to catch up with some of my other blogging chums such as Anne from Raisie Bay, Helen from Actually Mummy, Joy from Pinkoddy and Jo from Jo’s Nursery who also arranged for drinks after at Hotel La Tour which were delicious!

Events like this make me so happy to be part of such an amazingly diverse and supportive community … I just wish events like this were frequent .. but if they were would the magic be lost? … I doubt it I love bloggers!

I also want to say a massive Thank You to the lovely Stef from Steph’s Two Girls who I finally got to meet at Blog Camp as she became the groups unofficial photographer (unbeknownst to her!) thank you lovely.

Also a big thank you to each and everyone that met, chatted with and even shared a drink with that day, you all made the whole experience more special ….

Bloggers Rock!
