Have Lots Of Plants And Flowers
This is the most obvious and possibly the simplest way to bring nature indoors. Plants and flowers can be a great addition to your decor, but they are also good for helping to freshen the air. They will take the carbon monoxide from the air and replace it with oxygen. Some people do not have much luck with growing plants though, and if that is you, a few bunches of fresh flowers will do the trick.
Use Natural Materials
Most homes have at least a bit of wood in them, but that is not the only natural material you can use. Stones found outdoors can be used for all sorts of things, depending on their size. Some are just used for décor but others have sinks carved into them. These look really good, but you may need a professional to do that for you.
Floors can be made from bamboo or cork, and these have great texture as well as being durable and easy to maintain.
Let The Light In
Let as much natural light into your home as you can. This can be achieved by having large windows, bifold doors in the living room leading to the patio or maybe a skylight over your bed or in the hallway. Plants need light to survive and having as much natural light as they can get will make them thrive.
Natural light is also good for the mood, and you will feel the benefit of having lots of it in your home.
Use Rattan
Rattan furniture and accessories are always associated with outdoors, so bring them inside and that association sticks. A nice rattan chair in a corner, with a small rattan table at the side and you have your own little bit of nature to sit back and relax in.
Grow Fruit Inside
Generally, when people think about growing fruit, they think of large trees, orchards or grape vines. Growing fruit does not have to be on anything close to that huge a scale, and you can grow some inside, along with a few herbs for your cooking. Go to any garden centre, and you will find miniature fruit trees that will very nicely sit in the corner of any room and produce oranges or lemons for you. Strawberry plants and tomato plants are not huge either. Take some advice from the experts at the garden centre, and they will be able to let you know the best fruits and herbs to grow inside.
You may be surprised at the lengths some people go to so that they can have nature inside their home. Some will have a tree growing through the floor because they have built one of there rooms around it. People build tree houses inside their homes and one popular trend is to have a whole wall filled with plants and flowers that normally grow outside.
However you do it, bringing some of the outdoors indoors is sure to add joy to your living space.
