It has been over a week since the prestigious Britmums Live blogging conference and If I am honest I have struggled.

Struggled to get my head into gear and struggled to get my emotions in check too, hence the delay on any kind of blog post.

After last years event there seemed to be an undercurrent of negativity that I found difficult to deal with and after clearing the negativity within my blogging circles in the autumn last year I have finally fell back in love with blogging and I seem to have found a happy balance between work and home too …. So when the thought of Britmums Live came up I jumped at the chance to reconnect with those positive blogging influences in my life such as Sam from 40ish Year Old Domestic Goddess, Sara from Mum Turned Mom and the wonderful Charly from PODcast – these amazing ladies are like my rocks … we can go forever without chatting and yet they are always there and are ready to support anytime!

I got chance to travel down the night before Britmums this year and so managed to squeeze in my first catch up with the lovely Sam and Sara … I had forgotten how much I laugh with these ladies!

After a relaxed night in Travelodge I got to have a relaxed and unrushed breakfast before meeting up with Sara and heading to All Bar One for pre Britmums drinks and to meet up with Ellie from The Mummy Diary my fellow Nottingham Blogger and I finally got to catch up with the lovely Afra from Mad Mum Of 7 and Cathy from Wicked World Of Lucas to name just a few!
We headed to the event all in high spirits and after a whirlwind of meeting faces of friends I had seen before and lots of lovely new ones too … the weekend for me went so fast!

With some fantastic workshops, keynote speeches, inspirational speakers (and anyone that can make an audience laugh talking about period pants has my vote Carol Smilie!) Followed by a lovely meal at Wagamama’s (where has that place been all my life??) Organised by the lovely Laura Seaton from Tired Mummy of Two and while there I had the pleasure of catching up with the fantastic Zoe from Mama Geek, who has been my technical blog saviour on more than one occasion!

I am not even going to pretend I have processed all the events, workshops and conversations from Britmums Live yet, as it often takes weeks to get my head into gear from this event, what I can say is I have an amazingly brilliant set of inspirational blogging friends … many of which I would class as my friends in real life too!

Thank you Britmums Live for giving me this time to reengage, learn and grow.
