Review: Public Transport And The Maxi-Cosi Loola

Review: Public Transport And The Maxi-Cosi Loola The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseNow we are already 3 weeks into the reviewing process with this pushchair and this weeks theme is to take the Maxi-Cosi Loola across town!

Now having taken the Maxi-Cosi Loola out and about to several locations last week via car I decided to brave the local public transport in the form of a bus to our local town to pick up some shopping essentials and although neither shopping nor buses are my particularly favourite activity I did feel it would be important, especially as in the past I have had no car and had to rely on public transport to get about and I know some have to rely on it everyday!

So we set off with the Loola in Parent facing mode so we could chat

So from the video you can tell Joshua likes his new pushchair and he is still learning the song wheels on the bus!

In every shop we were able to enter easily (previously this had been a problem I found with the Old Loola being too wide for smaller shops) We navigated and manoeuvred with one hand without a problem at all, while carrying Joshua’s new purchase (the yellow watering can after he got bored with it and the basket was full)

Talking of baskets I was really shocked at how much the new Loola’s shopping basket held! although I think this is down to the fantastic new change underneath whereby the crossbar is located in the bottom of the basket instead of blocking it off across the top like the old one. Well done Maxi-Cosi!!

While loaded up we had no problems at all getting up and down kerbs and easily got on and off the bus on the way home. I really didn’t feel like we struggled at all for the entire journey. Although Ollie (hubby) maybe slightly panicked if he saw that photo of how much we bought … don’t worry darling it was all half price!

Review: Public Transport And The Maxi-Cosi Loola The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseOn the trip home we almost had a sleeping toddler! which is something we never get these days. Joshua fights it every step of the way and has not attempted to sleep in a pushchair for months and months but he did for a few minutes start to sleep … till we had to get off the bus anyway.

Overall I have been seriously impressed with the Maxi-Cosi’s ability to cope on buses and for shopping trips which certainly make me less agitated. I will certainly be doing this trip again in the future on the bus instead of the costly car and maybe next time I can get the toddler to sleep?

I think being as you got on so well on the bus, then the next thing you should try out is the train – I know just the station!

I’ve seen you out with this pushchair in “real life” and am seriously envious! As a pushchair veteran I am gutted I no longer have a child small enough to ram in one – although D’you think Grumpy would mind being pushed to big school in one?
Nice post – I need a youtube lesson please Jaime!

I thought in order to give a really honest opinion it was a wise move to text it on public transport too 🙂

Good luck with your trip to London x
