I knew from the off Jacob would enjoy the water but I had no idea just how much we would enjoy the lessons and just how much he has grown in confidence.
From the off Jacob was excited but his excitement levels have now reached a new peak. Every Wednesday morning we head over to the pool and once he is waiting by the pool he can’t wait to climb in with Sally and get splashing.
I don’t think we had realised just how important lessons like this would be to the process of him being in the water. Sally is patient and fun and makes all the tasks into engaging and positive activities that are only carried out for a few minutes at a time to keep the children engaged and happy.
Over the last couple of months I have been thrilled that Ollie has been off work on Wednesday mornings so he has been able to go in the water with him and learn the things we are doing in our swimming lessons as we are hoping to get some family swimming time in soon so following the same games and songs with him will be much easier to do for us if we are both doing the same things with him.
One of the things Sally has been teaching the littles in the pool is 10 seconds on their backs floating, which is a really important skill to learn but its still the one things that Jacob totally hates.
Disclaimer: We were given complimentary swimming lessons as part of our Konfidence Ambassadorship.
