How to be an Allergenius with AO.com and Hotpoint

Being slightly obsessive in my battle to keep a super clean and hygienic home (thanks to my OCD tendencies) I don’t think I am alone in the clothes washing battle … For us its like a never-ending battle so when it comes to keeping our clothes nice and clean and I certainly haven’t come across any household with children that don’t have the same issues! 

So when we were asked by AO.com to come and discover more about allergies I jumped at the chance … after all with 2 out of the 3 of us already with skin allergies and a baby on the way anything to help understand them is great in my book! 

The event was held at the wonderful Think Tank in Birmingham and I have to say it was a really well thought out venue for such an informative event. 

We started the day with a lovely colouring competition that Joshua totally loved (although at 4 his colouring is still a skill we are mastering but was filled with love) next on the agenda was a fantastic game for the small folk and the adults! with a mock house set up were we searched for cartoon allergies that held some really informative information on the back which explained where the allergens came from and how to keep them at bay! 

The final fun task of the day was to make our own tissue paper flowers … Although thankfully these ones posed no allergy threat as they obviously had no pollen.

During the event we got chance to take a look as some of Hotpoint’s new products that take the everyday allergens that families deal with and destroying them! The new HEPA filter vacuum looks really had to manoeuvre and with the added option of allergy killing too it got my vote, however I was totally smitten with the new washing machine and tumble drier they have on offer that both have anti allergy cycles to help keep clothes allergen free! … we personally have the older version of the washing machine and tumble drier from Hotpoint but with tumble drier being on the list for replacement in the next year and the washer already leaking I certainly am going to be taking a further look at these as options! 

Anything that helps in the daily clean duties is fab in my book! … Thanks for having us AO and Hotpoint.
