Jacob At 13 Months

Jacob At 13 Months The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseThe Change Is Coming

This month we have seen a big shift from babyhood into toddlerhood.

The tantrum is in full force and let me tell you this boy knows his own mind and his determination knows no bounds!

He has developed the mother of all paddy’s that often involve feet stamping and smacking seems to be his favourite pastime. Meanwhile our favourite pastime is enforcing the word NO.

What To Feed Him

Eating this month has been all favour of him doing the hard work and spoon-feeding has gone out the window. So we have had to take on a massive learning curve of finger foods that we can give that he will eat that will fill him up and not just snack on.

As much as it has been slightly infuriating with me being laid up this month after surgery. However it has been a pleasure to watch how he is growing.

We thought he would be walking before he turned one as he is loving being on his feet. Unfortunately he is still a little shaky and prefers to walk with you holding his hand than on his own. But it has all been instigated from us to this point. We are just waiting for him to get up and walk on his own.

The Teeth The Sleepless Nights

Jacobs teeth this month have been the biggest thing as a week after my operation we had the most horrific night with Jacob screaming practically all night long. But then again cutting 4 back teeth at once is super hard work, not to mention painful. Although he has only actually cut the skin with 3 out of the 4 at this point leaving him with a total teeth count of 10.

For me this months cutest new development has been the passing stage. Jacob now passes you toys, food or fluff off the carpet and its normally accompanied by a grunt. Although it would be nice for him to use more words he is certainly upping his game on the communication front so that’s a winner with me.

I think this might be his very last update that doesn’t include his ability to walk so watch this space!
