Jacob At 22 Months

Jacob At 22 Months The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseThis month has been one packed with frustrations and laughter in equal measure.

Jacobs speech is still slightly lagging behind and thats causing frustrations all round, him at not being able to get us to understand causing him to meltdown and us to be frustrated at knowing a meltdown is on its way.

Its probably has been the hardest month for me with Jacob so far. He is needing so much more than I alone can give and Nursery really cant come soon enough after Christmas. This little fella is wise beyond his years and being at home with just me while I work is driving him crazy.

All has not been negative this month however as Jacobs rather large character is shining through and he is making it his mission each and every day to make every single one of us laugh. In fact he is out and out hilarious at times.

Sleeping has once again improved and I seem to have found a nice happy medium with him. This month I have not been sleeping on the floor every night, in fact he seems to now only be waking once in the night and with a quick cuddle in his room followed by me giving him a small teddy and turning on his Philips Soft Pal nightlight that we got some years ago and used with Joshua. I think I am taking that as a parenting win hands down!

This month we have spent a fair amount of time remembering Joshua as a toddler at the same age as Jacob is now and comparing how different they both are but yet in other things they are so very alike!

Over the next few weeks Jacob will be having his taster sessions at what will be his nursery in January and I hope he takes to those just as he takes to everything else, with personality and strength.
