We have been super lucky recently and have been asked to take a look at the Little Tikes 5 in 1 Deluxe Ride & Relax Trike to see what Ollie and I thought of it and if Jacob liked it too.
The Deluxe Ride & Relax Trike has 5 stages:
• Stage 2- From 9+ months – STROLL – For parents to control and push the trike with the parent bar in place (parent steering)
• Stage 3 – From 12+ months – PEDAL – Time for toddlers to take control and pedal while the steering is taken car of by the parents.
• Stage 4 – From 18+ months – LEARN – Its time to take off the toddler waist bar and allow the child to pedal and steer all while the parent bar is still in place.
•Stage 5 – From 36+ months – INDEPENDENCE – Take away the parent bar and let the child pedal and steer!
I will be honest and say I am not the most technically minded person so it took me about 40 minutes to put it together.Thankfully to make it easier the instructions were great with full diagrams and written instructions that we clear even to my untechnical mind. Initial Thoughts
I loved the look of the 5 in 1 Deluxe Ride & Recline Trike from the off, it has a really great solid feel to it and the padded reclining seat was the icing on the cake as it really made it comfy.
The bucket on the back is a wonderful size and would make it great for nipping to the shops without stopping the fun!
The parent handle was easy to install and remove but most of all I loved the parent tray where I could pop my drink and the fact it was height adjustable so even me having short legs wasn’t a problem.
Out & About
The straps are really easy to use and are adjustable to make sure they keep your little person safe. The parts that you need to remove when you need it to grow are really easy to add and remove.
The recline feature was really great as Jacob chilled out and succeed his thumb while being chauffeured around, in-between attempting to steer. His favourite part was the toddler tray which he loved putting things into while out and about.
Conclusion
I adore the fact that this will grow with Jacob making its price (approx £109.99) great as its more of a one price and 5 products.
The well padded seat and the brakes makes for a really comfortable ride for Jacob and peace of mind for us.
This is such a wonderful trike to go on adventures with Jacob and when he gets bigger and he can pedal and steer himself who knows what adventures he will take himself on!
