My Mixed Up Sleep Routine

My Mixed Up Sleep Routine The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseMy recent operation has completely scuppered me.

For the first week I slept practically the whole day away, week 2 has been a mixed bag of afternoon napping and passing out at bedtime from tiredness.

This last week however my sleep has completely confused, upset and abandoned me. I am so very tired I ache with it, however the afternoon napping that I first had every afternoon after my operation has now gone and yet I am still taking an age to drop off each night and then spend eons trying to go back to sleep in the early hours when I wake again.

If I’m honest I am missing my hospital bed that adjusted, I loved it and having been back to hospital to have my staples out and lying back on that very same bed I honestly could have just closed my eyes and nodded for the afternoon! maybe I need to look into having adjustable beds and riser recliner chairs at home. When I mentioned it to Ollie he seemed to be excited by the prospect so even not being in our forties with damaged bodies and health issues these honestly sound magical.

The nearest thing we have is our recliner sofa, but I still get wedged in with having my abdominal surgery I have no core muscles so need something to oust me out my seat!

I am feeling immensely tired frustrated and lethargic and I know sleep and getting the right amount of sleep is massively important, I just wish my body clock would listen.

So over the next week or so I am going back to basics and I am going to take screen time away from my room again, I am going to cool the room down, and adjust my pillows as according to the video below, having the right posture is massively important too.

Watch this space for hopefully a less sleep deprived Jaime over the coming weeks …. please do send me sleepy thoughts folks.
