We’re very lucky to have some beautiful parks and nature reserves to visit for free here in Lincoln.
Just down the road we have Hartsholme Country Park. Entry and parking is free. There’s a little café, toilets, a play park and a huge lake to walk around as well as the woods to explore.
You can feed the squirrels and also go geocaching!
Whisby Nature Park
Much like Harstholme, Whisby has a lake and woodlands to explore. It also has a visitor centre, large café, indoor children’s play area and lots of activities for children outside.
Hubbard’s Hills
This is one of our most favourite places to go. It’s a bit further away for us but totally worth the drive.
Most people take picnics and settle down on the grass to relax while watching the kids in the river.
There is a small café and shop if you want to grab a coffee and some snacks while at Hubbard’s Hills.
It’s a beautiful place and we’ll definitely be going again in the summer.
