Pregnancy Update – October … 6 Months In

Pregnancy Update - October ... 6 Months In The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseIn the grand scale of this pregnancy it seems I may have just tipped into the 6 months bracket and I am super excited, although up until this point I have had no pictures of me while pregnant I am all be it painfully going to change that going forward … after all this will be my last baby so I need to celebrate this bump business!

This month everything seems to have hit and become real … my bump is of epic proportions and I am starting to get so very excited about our new arrival.

The nursery is nearly complete, the decorating is done and the furniture is in, although there still needs to be sorting done.

After the first month of pregnancy I stopped climbing on those dreaded scales as I am already a plus size, and there is lots of negativity around us plus size pregnant ladies  as it obviously does complicate many health matters and pregnancy is hard on the body at anytime never mind if your BMI is higher than it should be!

With that in my mind when I set off on this pregnancy journey I have been conscious of not putting on the same weights as I had with my 2 other children (5 stone each time) so I had been really aware that making food choices in this pregnancy I was going have to make wise ones as putting on weight above and beyond what was needed was not an option and since its been 5 months since I last weighed in I am so overjoyed to say to this point I have only gained 5 lbs and although my clothes are feeling roomy all over (except the belly area) I did have a feeling that I may have lost some weight.

For the last 3 weeks heartburn has been a daily occurrence and I now can’t eat after 6pm without having to down Gaviscon like jagerbombs on a hen night, but that’s the least of my problems as the ongoing SPD that I developed in my last pregnancy 5 years ago has gone into overdrive and I am struggling to walk already and unable to take the pain medication I am now in agony beyond belief.

All in all I am so excited to have reached this stage in my pregnancy and to feel more relaxed in myself and also to be as chilled out as I am … even if barely anything on our list of essentials has been bought … Nothing can phase me now … or at least I hope not, I am rather liking enjoying my pregnancy ….

Even if I can only see my toes while sitting down!
