From gallstones to my gallbladder removal, cesarean section adhesion removal after my bladder and bowel stuck together.
Add into that my ongoing acute SPD, weight loss , stopping smoking and then weight gain and it would be fair to say I have never been more aware of my own health and its frailties as I have these last few years.
After my 3rd cesarean section in February that brought us the amazing baby Jacob, my health declined again, I felt nothing but lethargic and had painful and aching bones constantly.
I also felt immensely unwell in myself and my get up and go, got up and went … leaving me trailing behind in a wake of pain and frustration.
During my pregnancy I managed to loose weight and keep active regardless of the SPD but after his birth I went to bits physically.
Although I am still receiving tests for a mass in my abdomen which we hope to get to the bottom of soon this week has brought some answers although none of them are a quick fix.
Firstly my body is hugely deficient in vitamin D, in fact so much so I have next to none … and this is the culprit behind the immense pain in my bones and full on lethargy.
I will be writing more on this over the coming weeks as it seems this is currently a massive problem within the UK at the moment and I am not alone.
Secondly I am massively anaemic so am necking iron tablets like there is no tomorrow, however with excessively heavy periods (sorry for over sharing) this I have been told will be a problem while ever I continue to have them.
My third currently ongoing known about issue is my ongoing battle low levels of vitamin B12. In the UK the ‘normal’ level of B12 is between 200 – 800 … my last test was 207 and the previous 213 .. this is in fact a normal range for my and with it comes the side effects of being vitamin B12 deficiant but I cant seem to get a Dr to prescribe injections to boost it, even though I am having side effects of this for over 5 years, but again more on that another time.
In light of so many health issues and the fact I am so clearly overweight this week I made a decision ….
I am not going to sit back and hope magic pills make me feel better, I am going to be proactive and start adjusting my lifestyle to accommodate getting fitter and start eating better, which in turn I hope will assist in getting healthier and I will start loosing some weight.
Thank you so much for the support so far it really means a lot.
Heres to the first day of the rest of my life…..
