A month before the big event they were given songs to learn and over that first weekend Joshua had memorised them all in their entirety.
Joshua has practiced his little heart out, sat on the toilet, in his room, walking down the street, in the back of the car and even in my bed at 5.45am after Daddy had gone to work.
I would go so far as to say that when the school production of ‘Lights Camel Action‘ was shown to those eagerly expectant parents that were crammed in tight to get a glimpse of their little person performing their little socks off, I was partly relieved that he would finally get to share with the world all he had practiced with such passion …. oh and partly as I was relieved that maybe just maybe the singing might just calm down.
The atmosphere in the school hall was electric and after loosing one little girl in his class to stage fright and then a bumble bee attacking some of the smaller kids on the left, my little fella climbed on the stage to carry out his little dance and song and as his eyes met mine I honestly could not have been any prouder of him … all those 5.45am wake up calls to sing at me were forgotten, as was the off-key renditions in the car.
There really is nothing like seeing your own Childs nativity play and knowing that from this point forward it really is christmas to get you in the Christmas spirit!
Thank you school staff for all your heard work supporting our small humans to start Christmas all over the country in a very festive way.
