OK, it’s going to come as no surprise to anyone that my pelvis and back are starting to hurt more now that I am 4 months pregnant. What most people may not know, is that I have ongoing pain already, as I have suffered with SPD since my last pregnancy 5 years ago. According to the consultant, surgery at a later date will be needed to pin and plate my pelvis back together, front and back!
This pain is far more acute through the night as I struggle to find the perfect sleeping position, so when I got the opportunity to try out Theraline’s Maternity and Nursing Pillow I jumped at the chance, (well, in my head at least!)
When it arrived, I was really impressed with the quality of the cover and also the feel of the fabric. It has a lovely soft texture making it all the more snuggly, (is that even a word), than a standard pillow.
For me, the support it has given my pelvis has made a massive difference to the amount of sleep I am getting. It has taken the pressure off my hip dropping, trapping my nerve, so I am now getting full blocks of sleep. Although, if I wasn’t going to the toilet for a wee 4 times a night, I am sure those blocks of time would be more, however I will certainly take what I am getting!
I am really looking forward to baby being here too and plan to use it during breastfeeding. I struggled with my previous children; I tend to have big babies and sections shaving, so to have something that can raise baby up, is going to be amazing!.
The Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow is certainly a must-have item on my maternity essentials list. I am only kicking myself that I hadn’t discovered it sooner!
