Before even giving this 11 inch super charged battle worrier to my son I have to say that I was rather impressed myself.
Its a great size and even the most untechnical person (thats me in case you were unsure) could easily change him into the truck! … yay go me! But thats not hard I guess with only 5 changes needed and it coming with some super instructions!
Optimus comes with no assembly needed and is aimed at 5+ years which I think would be a more than fair age range since the mini con weponiser is fairly small.
So I hear you scream, what is the Mini-Con weaponizer? Well, those are the little figures that can activate the cannons, wings, phrases and sounds on the transformer and more of the little critters are sold sportily too.
What is a brand new feature of the Transformer toys this time round is the super Transformers: Robots in Disguise app (ages 9 up) but Joshua aged 5 found he could still work it.
From a parents prospective it was nice to find that the 1 x AA battery that was needed was already included so no mad dash to the shops to buy the right size.
The Transformers: Power Surge Optimus Prime currently retails at £49.99 and a great addition to the collection, however for Joshua this is his first transformer and it’s certainly ignited his new found love and we now have a list of them he wants for Christmas!
