5 Things To See and Do Around Finsbury Park, London, UK

London is a city many people wish to visit – and many people do. There is so much to see and do but so many people only seem to think of the most popular landmarks in the capital such as Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, the London Dungeons and Trafalgar Square.

However, London is such a vast city and there are many different areas of the city to explore. Finsbury Park is one such place and there are plenty of things that you can see and do whilst visiting this area. Whilst it isn’t considered perhaps the most obvious place to visit, you would be surprised at just what things there are to do. Whether you want family days out, a night out with the girls or a meal out with your partner, Finsbury Park has something to offer you.

Visit the park itself
The park is a 112 acre oasis with a lovely little cafe in the middle of the park and a children’s playground too. If you are looking to keep your child amused, there are slides going into the sandpit and plenty of climbing equipment. There’s also a running track, tennis courts, a skate park and a place for playing ball games. There really is something for everyone.

There is also a fantastic boating lake with ducks and swans which the whole family will enjoy.

Chill out and relax
If you are looking for some me time, why not head to the Montcalm Royal London House Hoteland book a room? You can dine at one of the two restaurants or enjoy a tipple at the rooftop bar. Whether you visit here alone or with a loved one, this is a lovely place to head to when you want to chill out and relax.

If you love bowling then perhaps Rowans Bowl is the place for you. There’s bowling alleys and a karaoke booth which are so much fun. This place has been here since 1913 and has even had The Beatles grace their building. Looking for something fun for a girls night out or a family fun day? This may be the place for you!

Get your drink on
It is safe to say that London has some iconic pubs that people love to drink in. Finsbury Park has some lovely pubs to drink in – one such pub that you may want to check out is World’s End who show sports and have live music – covering all bases when it comes to their customers.

One of London’s relatively new theatres, this theatre has two spaces – a 200 seat main area and a studio with 90 seats. Showcasing various musicals and dramas and hoping to offer a decent theatre experience away from the West End, this theatre is definitely worth a visit.

There is plenty that you can see or do around Finsbury Park or very close by – but these are just a handful for you. Have you ever visited Finsbury Park? If so, where is your favourite place to go?
