1. Pack things in a way that will not damage the floor

3. Cover furniture with blankets or sheets for protection

Depending on the size of the items you’re moving out, you could lay them on blankets and scoot them out. This is a trick that a lot of people use in order to protect their flooring and to help the piece that they’re moving stay in good condition as well. So, if you have any old blankets, why not use them for this? Just make sure that the blankets are folded up enough so it provides a nice layer of cushion for the floors and the piece of furniture itself.
