A New Year Fresh Start Or Just A New Way Of Thinking?

A New Year Fresh Start Or Just A New Way Of Thinking? The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseMost New Years I take time out to make resolutions and pile on masses amounts of pressure to my already delicate shoulders so this year I am making only two resolutions.

Breathe deeply and think more.

I one of my character traits is I never stop to think and end up constantly saying yes to more work or things over and above what I can realistically achieve and then end up struggling to meet my own deadlines and instead I miss sleep or other vital things like time with my family.

So for me this year I won’t be setting myself up for a fall by setting millions of resolutions, instead I am going to think more about things before opening my mouth and I am going to take a deep breath before answering.

I am hoping that by doing this it will inevitably make me more organised, less tired and more productive in every aspect of my life.

Gone are the days of stressing, rushing and bending over backwards for everyone and I am saying hello to a more calm and organised Jaime, Mum, Wife and freelancer.

I am looking forward to the New Year and taking more time out for my family and I am going to enjoy hiring in help to cover some maternity leave so I can keep my business going without having to panic about how to keep things afloat.

This year I am looking forward to being able to breathe, sort and hopefully use this as a base to find my work life balance and no longer feel guilty about saying no to people.

Heres hoping that this new way of thinking stays as it’s already making me feel more productive and in control!

So happy new year folks and no matter what your resolutions might or might not be, I am wishing you and yours a healthy and happy 2016.
