A Review Of The Gtech HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer

A Review Of The Gtech HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseRecently we had the opportunity to test drive a product from Gtech and I have to be honest I was rather excited as it has been a brand I have admired from afar and not yet discovered personally.

We were asked to try out the GTech HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer and it couldn’t have come at a better time since out neighbours conifers were wild and killing out plants in the boarders we were going to have to take action and cut them back before they did anymore damage to our garden.

A Review Of The Gtech HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseThe HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer comes with some features which are designed for ease of use such as the fact it is battery operated meaning no cables ..ever! Then there is the extendable pole and a relatable head meaning the tops of hedges can be cut in a horizontal line.

A Review Of The Gtech HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseThe trimmer also comes with some safety features like the guard on the front and the safety button that means without depressing and then pressing the trigger the trimmer wont start.

When it arrived I was thrilled to find out there was no awkward putting together session needed as it only needed the guard attaching with a small screw and it was good to go. The charging was  really easy with the provided cable. It has a light indicator on the charger that is red when it’s charging and after a few hours on charge (about 3 hours ) it turns green and give a run time of 45 minutes.
A Review Of The Gtech HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse
My first thoughts where that because it was super lightweight compared to some corded styles I did I have to admit I doubted it would be able to tackle the monstrosity of next doors over handing trees.

I am pleased to say however I was wrong.

A Review Of The Gtech HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseMy husband cut the conifers back so quickly we even had time to tackle the larger conifers that were overhanging the shed too as we started mid afternoon and we got all of it completed in less than the 45 minutes of battery power.

Next time we will be taking the tops off on our side and levelling it out so it thickens out and keeps our privacy but looks so much neater.

I can honestly say this tends to be the garden job we put off as it’s normally immensely hard work and something we put off (hence it being 3 years since we last did it) but we both have decided that this will now be a twice a year quick job instead and we won’t be putting it off again.

The Gtech HT05-Plus Hedge Trimmer retails at £99 and for us it’s a snip of a price to make reaching and tackling that nightmare hedge easier and quicker and if its making my husband say he will tackle it twice a year as its now so easy its a certain hit for me.

Thank you Gtech for making the worst garden chore so husband friendly for the Oliver’s.
