Family time is super precious so when the family time rolls around, you need to find ways of actually spending as much of that time with your loved ones as possible and carving out some set time can be really helpful.
Family time and days out don’t have to be super expensive either it really is about making the time count when you are together.

Go Out Hiking
Nothing beats the calm of the outdoors at this time of the year. The weather may be a little chilly but you can still find stunning views.

Set up a BBQ
If you thought BBQs were a thing for the summer, then you are dead wrong. This is the right time to have the family drop the TV’s and remotes. Build a nice BBQ that doesn’t need to be too expensive and throw on the evenings tea, killing two birds with one stone.
Watch A Movie
A good movie night should be something on the cards for any family. Head out to the theatre or cinema, see what is on and grab a bunch of tickets for the family. However if you are looking to keep the costs down why not have a family movie night at home. Just make sure all phones and other distractions are turned off so you can really enjoy the time together.
Crafts or Cooking
Why not plan an afternoon cooking or making crafts. There are a range of things you can make depending upon the ages of your children so doing a little research on the internet can be super help to plan your crafts or cooking.
That being said, some craft hobbies may require you to join a class first before you can spend an afternoon making crafts with the kids. For example, pottery courses can open up a new world of opportunities for a rainy weekend at home. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can easily make some fun pots, bowls, or trinkets together at home. Besides, those can be a fantastic homemade gift you can make together.
