We also love our Christmas Eve box that Cecil our Elf on the Shelf brings for our family with PJ’s chocolates and festive DVD’s for us to watch as a family.
For Christmas day itself over the recent years we have had our parents visit in the morning and then as a family we have been heading off with our kids to Christmas lunch out at a restaurant followed by fat pants and family time watching films, playing with toys and even getting in a nap.
However this year our traditions are being slightly challenged since we only have Joshua at home this year and I will be 32-33 weeks pregnant we have abandoned the norm and are heading to my in laws for lunch and my lovely Mother in Law is going to be doing the cooking and I my hubs has assured me that I can rest over Christmas time so its all change really.
The last time things went against tradition for us was when we moved in 4 days before Christmas 6 years ago and it would be fair to say with a whole house to unpack and no carpet in the living room it was an *cough cough* interesting Christmas …
So this Christmas we are staying as close to tradition as physically possible, however life does have a tendency to get in the way … so unless it baby related for us I guess the folks at HomeServe have the rest covered for when life throws you a curve ball this festive season.
Fingers crossed that your Christmas goes to plan and is as pain free as possible … and don’t forget a sprout can be for Christmas and not for life .. phew!
