As most of you will know already Whitby is somewhere very special to Ollie and I, it was were we spent the weekend getting excited about finding out we were expecting Joshua, it was also were we eloped too to marry last year.
So this Bank holiday weekend when we were offered the opportunity to stay with my mother and father in law for the Bank holiday weekend in the apartment we so love, we jumped at the chance.
And what amazing weather! normally we pack for the expected rain and biting winds however shorts and t-shirts where the order of the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday consisted of the obligatory ice cream, a lovely meal with the extended family of Oliver’s, Sandcastles, crazy golf and my fave 2p machines!
We did try to book in at the amazing Magpie Cafe for their fish and chips however with being a Bank Holiday we couldn’t even book! so we went to the lovely Hadleys instead.
It was so so lovely to hit the beach without wellies this time we visited and it was lovely to see Joshua build sandcastles with Bethany it was such a lovely moment to watch.
Although we came home earlier than expected (that’s a whole other post yet to come!) I really enjoyed this time on the beach, watching my children interact and play something so simple.

icecream, sandcastles and fish and chips, sounds like a perfect break to me! We had some fab weather too, hope it lasts all summer xx
