Beast From The East And Jacobs First Snow

Beast From The East And Jacobs First Snow The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse
This year I thought by the time we go to the end of February/beginning of March the bad weather would have been behind us.

However with the nicknamed storm Beast From The East which was carrying freezing winds from across the continent finally landed here in Nottinghamshire and both kids were beyond excited.

Now I have to be honest and say my anxiety level only ever increases at the thought of snow and last weeks had me totally freaking out. Although the kids were thrilled to finally get to play in the white stuff.

Joshua’s last proper snow was when he was around 2 years old and so he was just as excited as Jacob who had never really seen much other than the 2 inches that fell in January and he didn’t get to play in that.

So last week was all about Jacob getting to play in the snow, Joshua icicle hunting and keeping warm.

After the first day of snow Jacob finally got touch down in the garden with the white stuff and had to be removed from the garden after an hour and half as he refused to come in.

There is something exciting I guess when you are two about playing with your toys in the cold white stuff.

Joshua was all about the digging and couldn’t even be bothered to get out of his uniform for the snow so headed straight into the garden once he got home from school.

As day 2 approached so did the apprehension as I am never safe on foot and school runs and snow with a pushchair had me worried as the day before I took a skid and fell, albeit with no on watching with double the snow i was worried till my Mum kindly offered to take Joshua to school so I didn’t have to drag the pushchair and Jacob with me.

The boys have throughly enjoyed the snow and I have loved watching them but for me I will be glad when the snow finally disappears.

How did you find the snow?
