Changing My Mindset Over Becoming Healthier With Modius

*Advertorial Review With Modius*

If you have been reading along with me for the last 7 years you will know that I have a continued battle with my weight.

I start with such good intentions of loosing weight and becoming healthier but I continue to lapse into my old ways.

This year I turn 40 and I am determined to get healthy before my birthday in September.

Laying my cards on the table and being super honest I have found that food has been my biggest issue. My portion sizes are ridiculous and I just never ever seem ‘full’.

Changing My Mindset Over Becoming Healthier With Modius The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseLast week I decided to try out a new exercise class as I know its basic science that you need to move more and eat less so leading a sedentary lifestyle I have decided to try to go to 1 boogie bounce session a week and if work permits 2. Being only 45 minute sessions mean they are far more family friendly to fit into my crazy schedule.

I am working on reducing my calorie intake by calorie counting on My Fitness Pal but I am already struggling with my food compulsion and aiming to feel full when I never achieve it.

Recently I was introduced to the new Modius headset. It is designed to use neuroscience to reduce food cravings, decrease the appetite and to help you feel fuller.

Knowing my main failings in my mission to become healthier I was eager to find out more about Modius to see if it could help me.

Changing My Mindset Over Becoming Healthier With Modius The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseOur brains are clever little devils. They monitor our weight and automatically regulate our cravings, appetite and our fullness.

Modius is designed to make changes to this process by stimulating the vestibular nerve. This in turn apparently influences the hypothalamus. Which is the area in the brain that monitors the thirst, hunger, sleep and emotional activity.

Unboxing The Modius Headset

The Modius Headset comes in a neat package and has everything you need ready to go. It has a headset, electrodes, wipes and charger.

Changing My Mindset Over Becoming Healthier With Modius The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseUpon opening the box I downloaded the App for the headset and then plugged it in to charge. It didn’t take long to full charge the headset as recommended before first use.

I then followed the directions onscreen within the app to pair my device with my mobile phone. Which was really easy to do.

The First Session

It is recommend that the first 5 sessions remain under level 3 and gradually increase. This is because some people can feels some tingling behind the ear where the electrode sits and some can feel slightly nauseous the higher up the levels.

Once you have attached the fresh set of diodes you need to use one of the little wipes to clean behind your ear and once dry pop on the headset and stick the diodes to the boney part behind your ears.

Throughout my first session yesterday and todays session which is my second one I have encountered a little tingling behind my left ear but nothing behind my right, which I am told is quite normal. I can also say that I have felt no nausea at all which is great.

Plans Going Forward

I am aiming to use my headset now for the next 88 days (90 days total) for an hour each day. I am also going to be carrying on with my exercise class and tracking my food intake.

So watch this space for more information on my journey using the Modius headset.

Wishing you every success Jaime, I struggle with food being my go-to comfort thing so I have a lot of work to do as well as using the headset! Fingers crossed for an easy 90 days x
