If you have been round this neck of the internet for a while you will know that earlier this year Joshua fell in love with 2 male guinea pigs, and after a few weeks of discussions about their care and several trips to pets stores for advice we brought home Mario and Luigi.
Since then Joshua and even Ollie have been obsessed with the critters and spend hours each day in the garden with them.
Having worked our way through just about every offering our pet shop has to offer for the small animal section of toys we were thrilled when hayPigs got in touch to tell us about their newest and fun offerings, and even more thrilled at being sent out the range to take a look at with Mario and Luigi.
Rik and Helen are the masterminds behind the HayPigs! brand and they have designed a fantastic Guinea Pig circus theme to their new range and we were blown away with the bright colours and the concept behind each and every piece of the new range. Each piece was specifically designed with fun and functionality in mind.
With Christmas on the horizon I know there will be other piggy owners out there looking for some fun new things for their pals and this range would be ideal to brighten their hutches and runs and bring out the playful side.
HayPigs! Circus Hidey
This was a fantastic piece, designed to look like the circus big top it gives the pigs somewhere to take cover and with its snuggly fleecy materials its going to be super for Autumn and Winter It also comes with an extra padded mat for the bottom as you can swap those over and watch them.
We love this as for the really cold weather out heat pad will sit beautifully underneath to add to the warm and snuggle.
HayPigs! Piggy Crash Mat
Just like the Circus Hidey the crash mat is made with beautifully soft fleece and deep padded base and sides. Although open topped Luigi loves crashing out here and relaxing. It is also again a great size to add a heated pad to in the minus conditions should we get that bed weather again this year.
This by far has been one of the piggies most favourite items. With its easy to remove lid you pack the wagon with hay and then replace the top and the pigs spend hours picking hay from the wagon. I have also noticed that they push it round the hutch and run too as it has wheels that work.
I have to be honest and I doubt Mario and Luigi would play with this one but I was wrong. The first time we used it we encouraged them with pieces of carrot then put the cannonball into the hutch overnight and the following day they had cracked it and loved nothing more than practically skipping through the tube and waiting for it seesaw to the bottom to jump out the other side.
HayPigs! Weightlifter
How cool is that, this suer cute weight lifter is designed to have your piggies favourite fresh foods popped on like a kebab. It works as a win win as they get the fresh foods and they get to have fun getting their favourite snacks off.
Again in this beautiful circus theme design this lovely bowl is idea for cheering up the hutch and injecting some much needed colour into what is normally a very bland backdrop.
It is a normal bowls size and is easy to clean.
Without a doubt this beautiful range would cheer up any guinea pig hutch or run and gan be found to purchase at HayPigs!
