If you have been around here for a while you will know I love nothing more than a learning based toy and so when we were asked recently if we would like to take a look at a multi award nominated coding toy, I jumped at the chance.
In this day and age where technology and computing is massive in almost every job role, I can see the need for understanding and developing a keen understanding of all that computing entails and Cubetto has been designed to do just that!
Its simple and quick robotic pal with its easy to understand coding board is aimed at children aged 3-6 years and is designed to teach the basics of coding in a fun and laid back product.

When Cubetto arrived both Joshua and I were super excited and after unpacking the box we both loved the cheeky little fellas features.

There is a basic feel around the board and the robot in terms of design as Cubetto is a wooden box but I think this is fantastic as non of the learning is lost on faff.
Both the board and the robot are functional and still packed with fun

Inside the box there are some super instructions that not only help the adult explain how to work the Cubetto but they have aimed the instructions in a tone and level in which you can share the instructions with the child too so you are learning together.

Each Cubetto comes with a material map (additional maps can be bought separately) and these are accompanied but some step by step guides to help Cubetto on his way round, each stage making the child think about each different instruction that is needed to make the moves required.

I have to say I adored playing with Joshua and Cubetto, he was so excited I thought he might burst, I also loved how it was teaching him about repetition in coding with the aid of the Function keys!
This wonderful educational toy is super and it has been a long time since we were so in awe that we could have played all day long. However I have to say that it wouldn’t be out-of-place in a home or even a learning environment too, which makes it even more exciting!
The price currently, although still a little steep at £159* I have no doubt this toy would out last all your children’s childhoods and still be good for another family so would be more of an investment toy and still less than some tablets!

Cubetto is beautifully designed and thought through and it certainly delivers the fun element, all the while the child is learning so this is a mega hit in my book.
I also love the fact this wonderful toy is not attached to a tablet or computer or any screen at all, its good old-fashioned learning with a technology based twist.
Genius.

So much more fun than a tablet!
I had to read this with Xmas around the corner and the picture intrigued me. It sounds great! At first I thought my dad, my husband or even myself would like a little gadget like this then I realised the age range! So… my son it is then! I never thought I child so young would be able to figure something out but things like this are brilliant to get their minds working x
lol Lizzie did i keep you guessing there! lol .. i have to say I was a smidgen doubtful it could teach coding but in its simple form it does and its blooming brilliant! i would love to see this in my kids class at school too … bin the iPads and get some hands on educational learning
Thanks for popping by x
This looks like such fun, my son would love it!
