This has to be my must favourite age bracket to buy for and it being my favourite I have to try to stick a few of my favourites instead of sharing 50+ items.
Having my 3rd Child just going into this age range I am fairly confident that there will be something on this list that your small human will just adore and your pocket will too as there are a range of toys in different price brackets too.
So hold on to your hats while I share my top picks for christmas gifts from toys we have bought, reviewed and found this year that we think you folks will love just as much as us.
LEGO Duplo – My First Truck – £16.99
I fear I am my own worst parenting enemy, after all lego underfoot in any home is a nightmare. However the playability can’t be denied and LEGO is a firm favourite with Joshua and so Jacob has followed in his brothers footsteps with his love of blocks and building and the LEGO Duplo My First Truck is ideal for this age range to help build fine motor skills along with lots of extra learning features with this product like colour matching, food matching and generally learning to build their first ever fully formed creations!
This particular set is one of Jacobs favourite and I have to have with having Joshua (age 6 ) too they both play beautifully together with this one.
Ridgeback Scoot Balance Bike – £114.99
This summer we had the pleasure of attending a bike event with Ridgeback and while there Joshua got his first test drive of the Scoot balance bike and loved it. We were gifted the bike and it has become one of Jacobs most favourite outside toys and I have to say I can’t fault him. The bike is lightweight and easy for him to manoeuvre and with its adjustable height seat we are thrilled its going to grow with him till its time for his first ever real bike!
Ultimate Spider-Man Rumble to the Rescue – £24.99
The Ultimate Spider-Man Rumble to the Rescue has a motorised drive and has a rumbling action bringing it to life. It also has realistic ignition, engine revving noises and a horn sound.
Toy State Caterpillar CAT Buildin’ Crew Take-A-Part Buddies Haulin’ Harry Dump Truck Light & Sound Vehicle – £22.98
This lovely toy comes with a motorised screwdriver so little mechanics can take it apart and pop it back together again. Ideal for those over 3 this overs another element of play. I loved the size of the toys in this range and the Haulin’ Harry Dump Truck is so cute with its facial features and its lights and sounds.
Tomy Super Soft/Stetchy and Cuddly” Molang Plush Toy – £17.99
This plush toy is addictive and not just for kids. Based on the TV programme Molang is loveable both on the screen and off and makes an ideal companion for any small person with the ability to be stretched and pulled and he returns to his normal shape and size.
WOW Toys – Dudley Dump Truck – £21.99
If you haven’t been here before you will be unaware of my love of the WOW range of toys.
These robust and exciting range of toys all come battery free and use a friction motor for movements and sounds. They are amazingly fun with their cheeky characters, bright colours and adult friendly prices!
I am recommending Dudley Dump Truck today as he is our longest-serving toy (we have now had him nearly 3 years and he has been a firm favourite with both Joshua when we reviewed him and now with Jacob too.
WOW Toys are one of my favourite brands and no matter which Character you buy your child is bound to be thrilled. All WOW Toys are aimed at 1.5 – 5 years however both my boys loved them from around 1 year to 6+
Crocs Fuzz Lined Clogs – From £24.99
I have been a massive fan of Crocs through the years and during the winter time they still feature heavily but more as an indoor shoe. The fuzz lined clog range for kids and adults in the iconic clog with extra warmth of a fuzzy comfy lining ideal for those early autumn or spring days. However equally as good for an alternative to standards slippers as they offer more rigidity to the foot and are also less slippy than standard material bottoms slippers.
VTech Toot-Toot Drivers Big Fire Engine – £25
The VTech Toot-Toot range of toys offer some great playability with a massive range of playsets available in a range of prices. The sets are ideal for little hands and come with sounds, phrases and sometimes lights depending upon the playset.
I love this Toot-Toot Drivers Big Fire Engine and I know Jacob will too as this is going to be in his Christmas gifts this year.
LeapFrog Scoop and Learn Ice Cream Cart – £34.99
This brightly coloured Ice Cream Cart has a host of different things to play with. With activity cards to explore colours, counting, flavours and numbers and play a creativity and stacking game. Follow the animals’ instructions and test your sequencing, memory and matching skills to build their orders. Press the bell when the order is ready and pay at the magic till. The set includes 20 playing pieces and even comes with batteries included so great for those Christmas morning as no panic needed!
