It won’t come as any shock to most of my regular readers that finding some bargains this festive season is high on our list of priorities but I didn’t really realise until recently that with our sterling not being as strong since the Brexit decision buying here in the UK can be more costly than I realised in comparison.
Maybe I was a little misguided to think that Brexit wouldn’t effect too much but seeing the price difference between product here and products elsewhere I was a little shocked.
However all is not lost with higher UK prices as maybe the sliver lining could be a Christmas shopping trip to the big apple? My initial thoughts were to eye roll but after reading the Christmas Shopping Guide and seeing how much we could save it’s certainly another option.

After all a weekend away visiting New York and getting the shopping done at a cheaper price could mean ticking off the New York aspect on my Bucket List all the while saving cash … that sounds immensely good to me!
In fact the more I think about it the more I love the idea of a getaway that still keeps my festive to do list in order and gets me some time in Bloomingdales, Macy’s and gives me an excuse to wonder down Maddison Avenue is a genius idea … however the money I save on the Christmas gifts just might have to be spent on some amazing shoes and handbags! … Obviously that’s ok, isn’t it?
Wherever you decide to tick off your festive shopping list whether it be here in the UK or taking a flight somewhere different don’t forget to spend wisely and enjoy the festivities!
Heres hoping your 2017 is healthy and prosperous in every way.
Lucky you, jetting off to New York!
