This year we vowed to discover more of the UK and Devon is a county I am desperate to explore more of the family holiday parks in devon in 2019. It is such a beautiful part of the country. There is apparently so much to see and do. So here are the top fun family days out in Devon I made it onto my must visit list.
River Dart Country Park
I’m hoping to visit this park when I next visit Devon with the family, hopefully staying in some beautiful Devon cottages. It offers plenty of outdoor activities to suit all ages. There are assault courses, a boating lake and adventure playgrounds. It is also really affordable too!
Greenway
Are you an Agatha Christie fan? Whilst your children may not be fans (yet), this National Trust property is a must see. It was Agatha’s home and is set in the most beautiful countryside. There is plenty to see in the house too and it is very reasonable in price – if you have a National Trust membership, it won’t cost at all.
The National Marine Aquarium
I love visiting aquariums so I’d love to visit the nation’s largest aquarium. It has the Atlantic Ocean tank which is the deepest in the UK and is also a really affordable option for a day out with the family.
Dartmouth Steam Railway
If your kids love trains, then Dartmouth Steam Railway is a must. It passes through traditional seaside resorts and beautiful woodland. I could definitely see my kids enjoying this, they love trains! I love taking trips on transport we wouldn’t normally go on – I am all for having new and unique experiences when on a day out or on holiday.
Milky Way Adventure Park
What family doesn’t love adventure parks? By all means nowhere as well-known as other adventure parks in the UK, the Milky Way Adventure Park is suitable for all ages and has both indoor and outdoor attractions. There’s a Sci-Fi memorabilia collection for the adults to enjoy and rollercoasters, trains, slides and ball pits for the kids to enjoy. Best of all it is a great price too.
Beer Quarry Caves
These caves in Beer link Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle and the Tower of London – without this location apparently, none of these buildings would exist! With plenty of exhibits, documents and carvings to check out and underground caves to explore, the whole family will have fun. For the history buffs among you, you can take some guided tours to learn more
