How To Make A Day Out In London Fun For The Kids The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse
For tourists, it’s something of a dream, but for those that reside there, London can be like a nightmare at times.

London is one of the most popular destinations globally and holds umpteen famous attractions that should be added to any bucket list. As a resident, living in the capital is somewhat different. It can get busy, difficult to navigate, and when you throw children into the mix, things get tricky.

Of course, that’s if you don’t know what you’re doing. The purpose of our post today is to look at what approach you should be taking if you have headed into the city for a day of shopping, or even sightseeing, with the little ones. By the end of proceedings, you’ll be ready to jump on the tube, and your perceptions of the Big Smoke will have transformed.

Did we mention that it gets busy?

That’s right, it does. Even in the current climate, commuter numbers are rising, which means that peak hours can get very difficult to navigate.

The solution? Avoid these times! While there will be some events which can make certain parts of the city busy from time to time, on the whole, it’s the rush hour periods that you need to avoid. The last thing you want to be doing is trying to dodge busy commuters with the kids by your side – so keep your itinerary in the early morning and evening London-free.

With this carrot constantly hanging, suddenly the climb up the tube steps and the other child-unfriendly tasks become much more tolerable!

Make sure hunger doesn’t strike (for any of you)

Next, let’s talk about refreshments. Fortunately, London will always help you out here, and regardless of where you are in the city, you’ll always find a suitable eatery. The big trick is making sure that you stick to your side of the bargain. A common mistake is cramming too much into an itinerary and missing lunch. The result? Hungry (and frustrated) little ones.

The other mistake is attempting the peak lunch hour. Just as you should give the commuter hours a skip, it can sometimes be advisable to do the same with restaurants. Instead of risking the queues and long wait times, try and visit them slightly before or after the peak times to ensure that nobody goes hungry. This will all help you and your family to have a less-st
