Jacob’s Lockdown 5th Birthday

Jacob's Lockdown 5th Birthday The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseLockdown is certainly hard for everyone and nothing is harder than trying to celebrate a birthday for a child in the midst of being locked down.

However, thankfully this year Jacobs Birthday requests were more than doable without too much stress.

Jacob requested that he have a range of pizzas and platefuls of different doughnuts. Oh and he wanted a bike.

This year for his cake he wanted a star wars themed cake. Based on his current love of the star wars game on X-Box and I decided to have a blast myself at this tricky creation.

I have to be honest and say it was by far not my best work but time was tight and I only had a few hours to complete it. Jacob however loved it and inside it was a family favourite (red velvet cake)

He had wanted a bike for his birthday after his dinosaur bike from last year he had seriously outgrown. He had requested a big boy bike

Just like his brothers had previously had and I think we cracked it with HOY Bonaly bikes just several years apart!

The day started out with presents followed by a bike ride to Effies (grandma) and grandads and then home for lunch.

The requested Pizza and doughnuts.

We spent the day together playing games and watching his excitement at playing with so many thoughtful gifts from so many family and friends.

I honestly am so grateful that Jacob was so played back with his requests this birthday so we could live up to his expectations. I feel for anyone that has had a little one who wants more than any parent can give right now in the midst of this pandemic.

I am guessing next year he won’t be so laid back about his birthday and I am sure a party will be requested so I best start saving!
