I am not going to teach you parents reading this anything you don’t already know about how important it is to keep the kids fully hydrated through the summer months.
We know how difficult it can be with so many things they would rather be doing than stopping for a drink.
However, with so much of our summer planned to take place outside it is something we are eager as parents to tackle to ensure the boys remain fully hydrated but let’s face it drinks can be boring.
Until now.
Recently I was introduced to Nestlé Pure Life Water Buddies which are some fun and quirky emoji character 33cl bottles aimed at keeping the kids drinking this summer. With so much planned for us I was thrilled to be able to get my hands on some before we started our warmer weather adventures last weekend camping.
Joshua and Jacob are massive fans of the emoji film so having some fun relatable characters were going to be rather helpful to keep them drinking in a field with blazing sunshine and 28 degrees!
There are 4 characters in the range and with the addition of my best friends 2 children it means that all 4 children could pick a character and we could keep an eye on who was drinking enough and who wasn’t as 65% of children are currently not drinking enough water every day.
Not drinking enough didn’t seem to be an issue with all 4-kid’s eager to pick a character and get drinking. Joshua seemed to become slightly obsessive wanting to save every empty bottle he drank so he could answer my questions by holding up an emoji!
The weekend while camping we had the most epic time, watching the kids bond and have fun, making memories that I have no doubt stay forever. We spent time catching up and making plans and it was amazing to chill out and enjoy each other’s company away from screens in the fresh air and sunshine.
What a fantastic start to our summer adventures.
