Learning Something New And Making Memories

Learning Something New And Making Memories The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseHolidays are always fantastic family time for us as they are for most, however while on holiday in Tunisia recently I got to witness a beautiful bonding time with father and son.

During the midday sun we were looking for things to do to keep us out of the intense heat when Ollie decided to teach Joshua to play pool.

When I first went out with Ollie back in our teenage years he even had a pool table of his own so it was so lovely to see him teach our son to play pool.

Joshua although 4 is not obviously going to have an attention span that can take it all in, however after 3 games that day he had throughly loved spending this time learning to play ‘pool’ so we made sure everyday we took the time to take him to play pool and by the end of the week it wasn’t just pool it was table football too!

I love having the time step back and reconnect with my family and to see my kids grow and learn. Although there will be many many memories of Tunisia this on will certainly continue to make my smile for a very long time.

Learning a new skill is a great way to bond. Cheeky Chap loves ‘playing pool’ with daddy as well, he says it means he is almost a grown up like daddy!

my wife and I did a lot of early bonding over billiards also. We have a table now but its right off the little’s bedroom, so it doesn’t get the use it used to, but I look forward to teaching her to play soon

I think it’s great when kids learn games and activities that we used to do when we were their age. Who needs an ipad when you have table sports like pool, football and tennis?

Oh he looks like he’s having a lot of fun, its so lovely when they learn new games and things isn’t it? We passed a snooker club the other day and z asked me what the poster was showing the game. I realised he’d never seen it before!

Glad you were able to experience this. Thank you for sharing it with us, Jaime! Lovely of you to host #magicmoments this week as well.
