Life Lately – The Autumn

Life Lately - The Autumn The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseDuring the summer holidays the stress levels were high. I struggled mentally with working full-time and balancing childcare and family.

I vowed that I would find a way to balance things more in proportion to spend more time with the boys.

However, September came along and so did a driver that wasn’t looking. As it ploughed into the back of my car shunting be across a dual carriage way from the T-junction I was stationary at.

The car accident caused a whole host of nightmares. Dealing with the admin and the time taken to find a new car was horrific and the stress levels never got below manic for the whole of the following month.

Also my time has been even more stretched with Doctors appointments and Physio appointments. Over 2 months away from the gym and my weight loss has paid the price. Along with my sleep as I am struggling to get comfortable at night with a pain behind my ear and lower back pain.
We thankfully slotted in a break away for the October half term and squeezed in our traditional pumpkin picking afternoon thank goodness but time has been very limited with the family because I am struggling to work at home full-time with Jacob here too.
So we have decided that as of January he will be going to nursery for 2 mornings a week to allow me to work properly and try to address the work life balance so I can spend time with my family without a laptop or screen with me. I am so hoping I will then be able to spend some proper quality time with family as time going to so fast with the boys.

With my new car secured, appointments pencilled in and nursery on the horizon I am now looking forward to the run up to Christmas and hopefully some winter family trips. I am hoping for a clean bill of health soon so I can get back to the gym before Christmas and start my weight loss mission again even if it means taking more pain killers.
