Our Christmas Eve Boxes

Our Christmas Eve Boxes The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse
We started the tradition of Christmas Eve boxes when Cecil the elf on the shelf arrived 3 years ago.

Cecil arrives on Christmas Eve morning with a note normally to say thanks for having me and here’s some little things for you my family.

Now I guess it would be amazingly easy to get super carried away with what we put in the box but we wanted the contents to make the start of Christmas Eve night but in a fluffy exciting way.

With that in mind our Christmas Eve box normally contains a set of PJ’s each, some slippers and dressing gowns, a reasonably festive DVD to watch after we ice the biscuits for Santa and some sweet or chocolate treats to mark the start of Christmas in earnest.

This year is no different with a set of PJ’s each, the boys and Ollie’s all being bought from Primark along with dressing gowns and slippers for the boys.  My slippers were from Primark and my PJ’s were from Bonmarche.

Our Christmas Eve Boxes The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseThere was a great debate this year between Ollie and I over what film we needed to buy for the box and I have to admit I got fed up of debating so opted for an Amazon Prime quick delivery option with Deck the Halls! I don’t think anyone has ever seen it here yet and being a PG it means we can all sit and watch it together.

For some sweet treats we have had a special tub of personalised sweets from Find Me A Gift that we had made with it saying they were from Cecil! I have no doubt what so ever that Joshua will love that touch even if it passes Jacob by this year.

I can’t wait now for Christmas Eve and spending some time all together as a family Christmas Eve night.

Do you do Christmas Eve boxes?
