Our Easter 2018

Our Easter 2018 The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseEaster for us was a laid-back affair that involved our fat comfy pants and chocolate.

We had preempted really poor weather in the week and had a mini easter egg hunt just in case but had hoped we could have a full Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday anyway.

Unfortunately, Ollie was at work till 2pm so I had to prepare the egg hunt alone which I worried about. The rain was literally hanging heavy in the clouds and Jacob was not so forthcoming getting his coat on so I was worried it would all be over before it begun.

Thankfully the rain held off and I finally got the boys outside with their brightly coloured Easter buckets. Joshua took the lead and guided Jacob around the garden with his bucket. Thank goodness, the Easter bunny placed the eggs in two’s so Jacob was thrilled when there was one for each of them at each location.

After 15 minutes, all the eggs had been found from round the garden and I had 2 very happy little boys with baskets overflowing with chocolate eggs. So, it was time to eat some chocolate. This year we at least managed to get some breakfast eaten before egg eating commenced.

Both boys are reasonably good with not eating to be sick and so both gave their eggs back when they had eaten the first one. Now if only I could follow their lead as I never know when to stop where chocolate is concerned.

Our Easter 2018 The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseNormally I would feel like we would have to pack in lots over Easter but I am just pleased this year we slowed things right down and got to spend some time just chilling and watching films.

We finished off Easter Sunday with a family roast with just us 4 with all the trimmings and of course some more chocolate to end the day.

Our Easter 2018 The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseIt’s on days like this I am thankful for everything we have as a family and pleased to be able to be around for the boys making memories as my job allows me to have so much more freedom to fit round the kids.

How was your Easter?
