Pig of The Dump

Pig of The Dump The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseOver the recent weeks I have been making a start of the industrial size clear out I intended to have before making a start on the bedroom titivation and the hall, stairs and landing redecoration.

So with many trips to the charity shop and lots more planned there needed to be a tip run with some rubbish that had been hanging about for longer than it should have been.

We are really lucky that we have a council run tip within a few miles and so after loading the car I headed off last week to refresh our house from the hoarded tat …

On arriving at the dump I noticed a rather large pink pot pig … although in a previous life it was a money-box, it was looking rather sad and lonely on the side of the road in a heap, along with some garden planters, an old bench and a pair of wellies, along with lots of other items that looked like a new life could be offered.

Who knows what it really was that attracted me to this pot pig but I headed to the man who looked like he might be in charge of the tip and asked if I could buy him! …

£1 later I picked up the pink fellow under my arm and headed home.

I fear Ollie doesn’t understand my immediate love for this rather oddly decorated porker as he was unimpressed with my purchase … or maybe that may have been the fear of what else this daft cow will come home with from a tip?

Although I may not become a dumpster diver .. I didn’t realise that actually anything with life left in it is kept to the side, and If I am honest I am liking the concept.

Don’t worry Hubster I think your safe as the tip is not a prime shopping location … but next time I am passing I certainly will keep my eyes peeled.
