Review: Maxi-Cosi Axiss Car Seat Summer Cover

Review: Maxi-Cosi Axiss Car Seat Summer Cover The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseOK I will hold my hands in the air and admit, I am one of the first to complain about my car seat getting mega hot and have even used a blanket to cover it from heat of the sun.

I knew about Summer covers but resisted them as I thought they defeated the object of having a pretty seat to then cover it over. What I did not know were the benefits of using one!

The Maxi-Cosi Axiss Summer cover is designed to fit directly over the original seat cover. It is machine washable and it is has wicking properties which keep any moisture away from the skin quickly.

Fitting wise I needn’t have worried as I had it fitted in less than 5 minutes, although I found the instructions on the packet a little confusing as it didn’t tell me I had to keep the original seat cover on, So I  did look on the website and yes you leave it on hence my instructional video below on fitting the cover:

Review: Maxi-Cosi Axiss Car Seat Summer Cover The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseAfter then fitting the car seat back in the car it was time to try it out with Joshua, now I have to say that he seemed oblivious to the fact it was on and his passing comment when I unstrapped him when we arrived was ” I have a blue seat now” … sorry Maxi-Cosi this 3-year-old doesn’t quite get my excitement…. yep there was excitement……

By excitement I mean I no longer have a soggy toddler.

Over the hot spell I have struggled with having to use a blanket over the seat as it was getting way too hot to put Joshua straight into .. then once cool enough I have then found more than 10 minutes in the car and he is dripping wet with sweat. Review: Maxi-Cosi Axiss Car Seat Summer Cover The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse

Since using the cover we have not had any times in which I have had to cool the seat down first before I could comfortably put Joshua in it and equally I have not had any sweaty soggy toddler!

Having thought about it I can’t believe we haven’t bought one of these before and we will be investing in one for the 2Way Pearl and Rubi too!
