I know this might sound strange to some but now my little guy has turned 4 .. I was a little 
sad … As after checking Joshua’s hight and weight it seems he is now in need of the next stage car seat.
With that in mind the lovely folks at Maxi-Cosi sent us a Maxi-Cosi RodiFix seat to see what we thought of it.
On arriving I was smitten with how stylish it looked and on fittings I was super impressed on how easily if actually fitted into the car, with needing a degree! The bonus to fitting is that this seat is connected with isofix and so you know it is fitted correctly every time too which was a bonus.
This seat secures the little person in by the standard 3 point car seat belt and can be used either side of the car and is super quick compared to the previous stage seats that are 5 point belts.
The seat belt can easily be routed through the seat and is easily identifiable by the red areas on the seat indicating the path for the seat belt so it really does make is super simple.
To release the seat belt from the headrest there is a little button in the headrest that you press so you can release the seatbelt from the seat, it did take me a few minutes to realise how to release it!
As with all Maxi-Cosi Products it is as safety conscious as ever and The Maxi-Cosi RodiFix comes with the patented AirProtect side impact system to reduce head, neck and back injury in a collision which means better protection for your little one.
Some of my total loves of this seat is the fact it’s so easy to adjust the height and width so this will now fit Joshua until he is old enough to travel without a seat at all and the fact is super light for an isofix seat so moving between cars is super simple! .. Throw in the recline feature and washable covers and I am hooked.
This seat has been an excellent choice for us as we always use isofix wherever possible and the ease of fitting and use mean it’s a doddle to use day-to-day.
For what its worth I think it’s a hit with Joshua too since he can now climb in and out his new seat with ease and he can at last be a big boy (it’s all he has wanted to do for months)
So far the seat has been fantastic .. and we can’t wait to take it on lots of adventure in the coming years!

Seems like a good choice, we always used MaxiCosy when the boys were little.
My boys are still in high backed boosters now and we have these in Husbeasts car and they are 9 and 10. So they are a super investment
Looks great, always such a important choice. We have only ever used Britax with Leo, but good to know that there are other alternatives as we will need a second for Daddy very soon.

We always had Maxi-Cosi seats.
It makes such a huge difference for their independence when they can climb in and out by themselves. This seat looks great x

We had Maxi Cosi seats for our kids when they were small and I chose them because they seemed like the safest on offer. It looks like they’re still a great brand.
Oh just look at Joshua’s face, he looks thrilled with his new seat. He’s like the king of the castle! Sounds like a great seat from Maxi-Cosi 🙂

Maxi Cosi is such a great brand. We only ever used their car seats. (I believe we had the priori XPs back in the day!) x
