#RockTheBump – My Plus Size Maternity Autumn Essentials

#RockTheBump - My Plus Size Maternity Autumn Essentials The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseBeing plus size and pregnant I have to say finding clothing to fit your bump is not fun … so many beautiful maternity clothing brands don’t cater for anyone over the size of 18 so it can be rather depressing trying to find anything in a size 18/20 or above as lets face it looking like you have been squeezed into sausage skin is never a good look, certainly not if your plus size and never a good look if your plus size and pregnant.

Finding size 18+ essentials for the first 6 months of my pregnancy has been rather like a labour of love and it’s almost like a campaign of epic proportions (and I am not talking about my proportions!)

So this month I am going to do a round-up post of all the items I have bought over the last 6 months that have been in my essentials for comfort, style and fit in the hopes it will help other plus size Mums to see that they are not alone.

For me I don’t have to worry about an office style wardrobe while pregnant as I work from home so its more about  everyday comfort for me. In fairness the jeans (of which I have 3 pairs) were the most amazing purchase and the items that take the brunt of my use, along with the tops from last month that we a super bargain of 2 for £12 are available in more colours I just tend to dress in fairly dark clothing … maybe I need to change that?

This coming month for me it’s about underwear and finding some nursing maternity/nursing bras as I have waited far to long to get some new ones and my old bras are too small and digging in! Would love to hear some recommendations for maternity/nursing bras and from any plus size ladies with ideas for stores or brands that support plus size maternity clothing too!

If you are pregnant what have you been buying for your bump wardrobe, Why not link it up below.

Love this post and can relate to every thing! I am a size 18 and have struggled to find maternity wear that is in my size. Those jeans look so comfortable, I may have to investigate! I look forward to your post about nursing bras xx
