Maybe it’s just our family but it seems we tend to hoard so many things, broken toys, damaged furniture and don’t get me started with the shed that is used purely for dumping rubbish we can’t be bothered to deal with in.
If we were based in London there are some epic answers to rubbish removals from companies such as Kwiksweep who can remove rubbish the same day.
Locally here in Nottinghamshire we have just discovered a new option with Clearabee. So with a living room newly decorated and carpeted and so much old carpet still hanging around and a shed crying out to breathe again we were thrilled to hear about a fairly new rubbish removal service called Clearabee. It’s an ideal service for busy parents wanting to clear out junk as it offers a same day home rubbish collection service and large skip bags that you can fill at your own pace. But also, if space is a premium they even have a man with a van service!
The company is the UK’s first and largest nationwide on-demand rubbish removal service only employing 100% in-house staff, removed over 20,000 tonnes of household junk from homes across the UK in 2017. With 100% fully trained in-house staff you have complete peace of mind that a Clearabee branded van and employee will come to your door to remove and dispose of your rubbish legally. with no risk about illegal fly tippers who promise to remove your clutter and then dump it where they aren’t supposed to!
As well as legally disposing your rubbish, Clearabee recycles or upcycles 90% of the waste it collects and offsets all of the CO2 from its vehicles.
There are two main services to clear your rubbish:
– A man and van. Same day booking. Quite simply you book online or by phone and a Clearabee man and van will come at an agreed time and take care of the disposal for you.
– Beebags. These skip bags can be ordered in advance with next day delivery and same day collection, if desired. You can leave them outside for collection, which makes them ideal for busy professionals. The largest bag is the same size as a large skip.
We opted to try out a Beebag, which arrived a few days later and we put it on the side till it was time to rip out the old living room carpet.
Then Ollie loaded the old carpet into the skip bag round the back of the house and dragged it to the driveway where we then proceeded to load it up with all the old garden clutter, followed by the shed contents and then we worked our way through the house getting rid of all the things loitering in the corners waiting for us to finally do something with it … instead we Clearabee’d it! straight out the front door and into the skip bag.
When our large bag was full … which took a whole lot more than we thought it would. We arranged for its collection on a day that suited us and that day received and text and email to say the team was on its way.
Which I thought was super helpful.
When the guys arrived, they were really pleasant and made light work of hand balling our rubbish into the back of the van till it was almost empty and then they dragged in the bag and headed off to recycle what they could and dispose of the rest safely.
The whole process just seemed a lot more streamlined than it would have been with a skip. In the past I have had to wait weeks for skip collection in my area. So, knowing I can specify the day for it to be collected is amazing.
We won’t be going back to using a skip again when this service is so much more user friendly.
