I blogged about it for years on here and my battle to keep my weight going down but the pressure got to much and I failed.
Over the last year I have not really mentioned too often about my weight loss and fitness journey until just before Christmas when I spoke about why I am on a fitness journey not a weight loss one.
Last March I discovered a love of Boogie Bounce. Don’t know what Boogie Bounce is? Think dancing on a mini trampoline to super songs in the dark with neon lights and you’re just about there. My instructor is so great that I tried several of her other classes too and started doing 4 classes a week, 2 Boogie Bounce, 1 Clubbercise (retro dancing in the dark) and 1 step fitness class.
My friend and I are both struggling on the food front and in a bid to get better understanding of foods and to build a healthier eating pattern for the whole family. So I am about to embark on my journey with Slimming World.
It has not been about New Year new me and I certainly haven’t set any kind of resolutions I am just taking the next step to better my own health and fitness.
Over the last 8 years I have watched some of my online friends start their own weight and fitness journeys and so many of my friends have been using the Slimming World method of getting control of their weight and fitting it into their family lives.
Vicky from Verily Victoria Vocalises has done so well with her Slimming World journey she is now running her own group locally to her and supporting others! (if only she lived closer! )
The lovely Emma from Mrs Shilts is also embarking on her Slimming World journey this month and I am thrilled to have a found an online chum to hopefully support each other too!
So watch this space. I may have turned 40 still being fat but my goodness I won’t be turning 41 the same size! I want better health and fitness all round and loosing some weight is the only thing now holding me back.
