Those of you that have followed our real life goings on will know this summer holidays has been anything but fun for most of us, with morning sickness for me and spinal surgery for Ollie … getting out and about has been somewhat harder than normal.
With things finally turning around we decided to make the most of every given opportunity and make fun where we can find it and so eating as a family makes an ideal time to sit back, relax, talk, laugh and eat good food! … Double bonus!
We discovered our local Beefeater a short while ago when we went in March for Beth’s birthday so while out and about between visits to QMC hospital, Ikea for the mammoth house titivation and with limited time and patience we headed back to Millers Barn for lunch and Joshua was smitten with lunchtime as he was greeted at the door with his choice of Mr Men toy! … During the summer if you are purchasing a kid’s meal they not only get the lovely colouring pages and crayons to keep them busy they get a Mr Men toy too and it went down a storm with Joshua!
Having never tried the lunch time menu it would be also fair to say we are totally hooked to the kids meals have the options of one course for £4.99 or up to a three course for £5.99 which also included a drink along with the super adult lunch menu which was more than reasonably priced we certainly will be heading there again.
The quality of the food is utterly delicious and is now one of our go to eateries! … In fact so much so we will be back in September for my birthday lunch too.
