The First Glimpse Of Sunshine

It has been a long old winter and this year more than any other it seemed to take forever for those light nights to appear and the glum and darkness to subside.

However this last weekend finally the warmer weather showed its much awaited face and we finally got to get the sprinkler out in the garden and see both boy enjoy the garden space we are so very lucky to have.

While Jacob slept after his lunch we got to have a picnic in the garden with Joshua and he got to follow it up with finally playing with his Nintendo Kart remote-controlled Bowser and his remote-controlled Yoshi!

Although I got to race one of them Joshua soon took to ploughing into Ollie who was enjoying the sunshine instead.

However it did all turn into a scene from Robot Wars at one point with Ollie taking the child’s garden tool to beat it to death, however he was nowhere near quick enough to actually reach.

After a leisurely nap from Jacob it was time to get outside and get the sprinkler on to not only water the grass and plants but also to water the children.

Joshua as per normal decided water on his face was not something he really wanted to partake in and instead took to backing into the sprinkler to keep the water from his eyes.

Jacob on the other hand being the water baby he is had no such issues with water on his face.

He loved soaking up the sunshine, loved his new bubble mower and even more than that he loved the freedom that a garden space brings …

We have been so lucky to get some family time in the garden so early in the year and I am even more excited that this year we are finally going to get out there and spend as much time in the fresh air as possible!
