When the people at My Little Big Town asked me if we would take a look at The Monster Book Of … range I jumped at the chance, the previous books we lookde at, Tiny Twisted Tales, we loved so had really high hopes for these too.
The Monster Book Of… series of educational books are ideal for pre-school books, the range of early learner books are designed to help reluctant readers, especially boys learn all about shapes, numbers, colours and the alphabet.
Packed with silly and eye catching monsters (I am told they are friendly ones), the books are an ideal as a read-along with small children on the road to discover books for the first time.
Joshua has only just turned 2 and he was just starting to become aware of colours and numbers often shouting “5, 2, 3” (plus other variations) so he loved these books and loved even more being able to shout numbers!
The Monster Book Of Colours
Learn all of the primary and secondary colours, as well as a few more with the help of some wonderfully silly, friendly monsters. Bright and humorous characters help to keep young children engaged and make learning fun.
The Monster Book Of Numbers
Learn the number one through to ten, and then ten through to one hundred (in tens) with the help of lots and lots of fantastic little monsters. A great way to teach young children to count.
Where’s the Scone?
A wonderfully quirky and fun pre-school counting book!
Lots of friends in a party mood. All of them have brought some food. A counting book (1 to 10), with a variety of animals, different foods and funny rhymes.
Reading is something I think is super important and making sure that a child engages from an early age with books I feel is essential for development.
Joshua loved these books from the moment they were given to him. He tried to read along with me and it was so beautiful to hear.
He refused to give them up at bedtime and we did have a battle but he keeps going back to them and not only tries to read on his own but also brings them to me for a read too!
Another set of lovely books … thanks My Little Big Town
